Hi, I’m Flo!
I’m a Cyprus-based multi genre singer and producer, originally hailing from Scunthorpe, UK.
I am currently working with my partner Nick the Greek, an established artist within the London hip-hop and spoken-word scene, to bring my sweet yet unique vocal and his seamless poetry together harmoniously. We have been writing about what truly motivates us, trying to bring certain topics into visibility through our work, promoting a reconnection with nature, mental health, and highlighting socio-political issues.
I am currently in the process of reconnecting with nature myself, and simultaneously finding my voice again.
I am passionate and inspired by many different genres of music, and have learnt that this is no longer a barrier-it's a portal into originality.
My debut single Laughing Gas was released in 2022, followed by Rising (both featuring Nick the Greek) and there is a lot more music on the way!
Laughing Gas
Laughing Gas, my debut single will be released on the 30th September 2022.
This marks a very important point in both my career and my personal life, as I honestly never thought I could get to this point. But, after working on myself I have improved my confidence massively and this has allowed me to do so many things I never expected.
My collaboration with partner and fellow artist Nick the Greek has led to so many new opportunities for both of us. Sometimes you need someone pushing you in the right direction, to realise your own potential.
Laughing Gas marks the crucial end to an era of my life where I was extremely disconnected from my purpose. ‘Heavens taste’ felt ‘far away’, and I was self-destructing and using dangerous substances to dull the pain. I wanted to express how whilst letting go of that lifestyle can be painful too, the grass is always greener on the other side of it.
For Nick, the song was also a turning point. It was written a year and a half ago when we were falling in love; working on Laughing Gas together was such a cathartic experience, as we were both letting go of past relationships and resentment to pursue something new in each other.
With Laughing Gas we wanted to show how reconnecting with both nature and each other is one of the most important things you can do in this world.
The production of the song was super important too, the way it all came together was organic and new. And became the basis of a creative and romantic partnership. We were just expressing ourselves to a beat, and something great happened.
We have plans for many more singles together in the near future, and Nick’s genius debut EP “Letter To a Friend” will also be released in 2022.
